The SAS 3041E four-port, host bus adapter is a high bandwidth storage option ideal for storage connectivity of higher performance SAS 15k rpm drives in high performance workstations.

The serial interface allows for point-to-point connection offering higher performance, increased aggregate bandwidth, higher availability with dual ported drives, and enhanced reliability when compared to parallel SCSI.
The SAS interface provides universal interconnect with Serial ATA, while still offering logical SCSI compatibility along with the reliability, performance and manageability when using SAS drives. Common electrical and physical connection allows for the application to dictate the interface technology of choice for disk drives.
